About

Hi, I’m Becki 👋

I started this diet therapy blog under the name ‘foodiecure’ back in 2010 just after appearing in the first season of Masterchef Australia, and long before I graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science majoring in Chinese Medicine.

There is some good content in here and I wanted to keep the content alive while finding a home for all the new and exciting recipes still being explored. So now foodiecure has had a glow up and morphed into Food of Origin to compliment a line of food-based herbal medicine products of the same name launched in 2023.

You can shop for products by clicking the Shop button above.

I will continue to post seasonal and mostly plant-based recipes based on Chinese medicine diet therapy principles Energy Nutrition, and incorporating more Chinese herbal medicines to elevate the therapeutic function of your everyday diet.

The original posts have been preserved so you will have to forgive the rustic nature of some of the writing and photos. However I still stand by the recipes and theory as tried and loved.

My day job is as a practitioner of Chinese medicine. I am a strong herbalist and have invested many years in extra training and mentoring in this skill. But my first love is treating with the diet. As the Food of Origin tagline says: Food is our first and best medicine.

It’s all about being able to look after yourself and your family with preventative medicine. Practitioner treatment need only be sought when when a stronger treatment is required more than lifestyle and diet therapy can offer.

That said, If you are interested in Chinese medicine treatments, I offer face to face appointments in the Sunshine Coast (QLD) and Albury (NSW) and telehealth for Australia wide appointments. For any clinic enquiries, please email clinic@indigochinesemedicine.com or visit Indigo Co Lifestyle Medicines to learn more.

Look after yourself, Becki
